Peer Support Circles Cohort 6 Application

We are thrilled that you are interested in joining Cohort 6 of our Peer Support Circles. Now that you have learnt more about the programme, we want to learn a little more about you so we can ensure you will get the most out of the Circles.

- Our registration process should take 15-20 minutes

- It will hopefully help you prepare for taking part well.

- It allows us to gather some information about your political journey so far and what you hope to achieve from the circles.

- It is important that you check your availability for the dates of the proragmme. For you and others to get the most out of the programme you need to attend a MAJORITY of the dates - we appreciate that sometimes life gets in the way, but this really is the best way to achieve the best learning and development outcomes.

- The questions we ask and suggestions are based on our experience of supporting women in Getting Ready To Stand! Please complete the questions in full. If we have an incomplete registration we will not be able to process this.

Please take your time to read and fully understand the questions before answering them.

OR have you joined one of our online workshops, and would you like to reconnect with women at that event? If so, please specify which workshop you attended.

Your engagement with the programme and our Values

The following are some key details and values of the peer circles programme. A peer circles programme is a deliberate and intentional space committed to our own growth and the growth of others through the power of peer connection. This makes the generous contribution we make to the support and learning of others as important as the support and learning we receive ourselves. We would like you to consider the information below to plan how you will have the time, energy, and commitment to make the programme most effective for yourself and for others.

Question 23 of 42

Please indicate you can sign-up to each of the key values for participation in the peer circles programme:

(Select all that apply)
A

Committed: to yourself and your peers: you will want to attend each of the sessions for your own development and to support the development of others.

B

Motivated: you are seriously considering running for political office and want to explore this further. It could be that you know you want to run at the next available opportunity, or right now may not be the right time, but you know you want to prepare for it

C

Respectful: our work is cross-party and inclusive, and we believe that bringing women together across political perspectives is a powerful benefit to supporting women into politics. Circles will be open to women of all political parties, and none.

D

Open: to trying new things, to understanding and discussing the views of others, to receiving feedback and sharing your experiences with others.

E

Confidentiality: the circle is a safe and intimate place for all. We want to ensure confidentiality as part of the series, to ensure that everyone can be their authentic self and feel safe in sharing their thoughts and stories.
