her life in politics as a mp tuesday 6th september 19:30-21:00 hear from amy callaghan, anum qaisar and wendy chamberlain as they share what life is like representing their scottish constituency in westminster, including how they first got into politics and their advice for future politicians (that's you!) elect her

We need women from all walks of life to bring their lived experience and the interests of their communities into the corridors of power. her life in politics as a msp Tuesday 13th September 19:30-21:00 hear from Gillian Mackay, pam Gosal and Sarah Boyack as they share the different ways they each entered politics, what life has been like inside the Scottish Parliament so far and their advice for kickstarting your political journey. There's no certain qualification or experience required to become a Member of the Scottish Parliament, you just need to have lived a life and care. Join us next week as three wonderful MSPs share what life is like in Holyrood, including their roles and responsibilities and how to get started.

In a fortnight

her life in politics as a community councillor Tuesday 20th September 19:30-21:00 hear from Karen harcus, alison lowe and elizabeth brown about what it's like as a community councillor, what motivated them to stand how they overcame barriers and their advice to anyone putting themselves forward. Elect Her

In two weeks time, we'll hear how you can help bring local people together to make positive change, and protect and promote the identity of your community by becoming a community councillor. We'll hear what kind of activities and campaigns you can lead in this vital voluntary role and why it's so important for strengthening Scottish communities.

In three weeks time

her life in politics as a councillor tuesday 27th september 19:30-21:00 hear from dawn black, emma macdonald and shamin akhtar as they share what life is like as a councillor across different areas in Scotland, including how they first got started and their top tips for starting your journey making change for your community through local politics.

For our final hurrah, we'll be finishing the series with a focused look at the roles and responsibilities of being a councillor. We'll hear from women across Scotland about how it's been for them so far and how they balance the role alongside their other commitments. If you're motivated to make your community the best it can be, make sure to join us for this final webinar on the 27th.

All of these webinars are open to women across Britain, although please be aware that MSPs and community councillors are only available roles in Scotland. Each webinar will be BSL interpreted and include closed captioning and we invite anyone with additional accessibility needs to email us in advance so we can make any adjustments you might need.
